New Learning Opportunity for International Schools in North America
Introducing the Intercultural Competency and Belonging Lab (ICBL)
Reality: There is currently no sustained professional learning community or resource designed specifically for international schools in North America to support fostering inclusive schools.
International schools navigate daily, substantive differences across cultural and national backgrounds, home languages, and identity-based experience. Most existing resources are grounded in U.S. history, social and legal structures, and cultural reference points that do not resonate in international school communities, and sometimes cause harm.
The ICBL was designed to close that gap, grounded in Dr. Derrick Gay's original frameworks and three decades leading this work in international schools across more than 30 countries.
